This is F***ing Awesome

I hope everyone who celebrates had a great Easter! Because it was a bit rainy and overcast in Orange County my family and I didn't end up going whale watching like we had planned.  So instead we had a day at Ikea and then got cupcakes at Sprinkles.  This week I also went shopping at TJ Maxx and Old Navy and went thrift shopping with my momma!  I haven't been in a while which is disappointing because it is one of my favorite things in the world to do.  Even before the Macklemore song made it cool.  Here are some of my finds.

Not completely sure what I'm gonna use this wood bowl for yet. Probably rings and jewelry or other knick knacks.

Love this old Moonshine bottle. I'll probably use it as a vase.

Okay, I have no idea what exactly i'm going to use these old tea tins for but I HAD to have them. They are just too adorable and so unique.

Yes, another jar, you can never have too many jars.  I have a ton of foods that I've been wanting to organize lately so I'm not even close to being finished with my jar obsession.

I thought this was pretty cute and I could use it in our living room when we move in August for remotes or something.  I'm not really sure if I like the way it is or if I'd like to paint it and scuff it up.  I love nautical things but I'm kind of on the fence about the whole "anchor's away" thing.  Let me know your thoughts?  Is it cute as is or does it need a revamp?

Trift Store Finds

Earlier this week my mom and I did some more thrifting and I picked up a couple more things for the new house.  Here are my finds!

I got this biscuit tin at Goodwill for about $3 I believe.  I'm not sure what I'm going to put in it yet but I thought it was just so adorable I couldn't pass it up!  Perfect for storing something in the kitchen perhaps?

So my jar obsession continues.  I'm thinking of using this miniature jar for bobby pins and other hair things on my vanity.  I'm currently using ugly old candle holders so I'm in need of something new for my bobbies!

They had quite a few of these distressed candle holders and I literally just stood there staring at them for like ten minutes trying to think of what I could do with them.  In the end I couldn't think of anything but I loved them so much I got them anyway.  I'm sure I'll figure out something, they are just so my style.  I don't even have to distress them, it's already done for me!  If anyone has any ideas send them my way.

A spaghetti keeper from Italy!  I have a plastic spaghetti keeper from the dollar store but this one goes along with my jar obsession and it was only $2.  Also, I just really like saying spaghetti keeper.

I got everything at Goodwill except for this envelope holder.  I got this for $5 at a local thrift and antique store.  I actually saw the exact one at the Salvation Army the week before for $9 or something ridiculous, Salvation Army is way to expensive for a thrift store if you ask me.  Anyhow, when I saw this again for almost half the price I figured it was a sign from God so I got it.  It's actually not wood, it's plastic and it's kind of an ugly color if you ask me which is why you will be seeing a revamp of this baby in the near future.  So stay tuned for that!

Those were all my finds for now!  I actually found a bookshelf that would have been perfect for my room for only $30 at Goodwill but when I went back the next day to get it, it was gone!  I had seen it there for three weeks and the day I decide to finally give in and buy it someone else buys it, of course.  So the search for a bookshelf continues.

Thrift Finds

Today my mom and I went to Hobby Lobby and a couple of thrift stores for more house stuff.  I spent under $40 for all of this!

I got these knobs for 50% off at Hobby Lobby.  I plan to do a DIY project with them so stay tuned for that!

Mason jar for 99 cents.  I think I'm going to use it to hold some makeup brushes. I am in desperate need of new makeup holders.

This was probably my best find of the day, except I didn't find it, my mom did.  She was going to get it for herself but when she didn't want it I got it.  It's a Giani Bernini handbag which is usually about $100 at a department store and I got it for $14! SCORE! It's a little warn on the bottom but overall it's not in bad shape. I have been looking for a new purse but I really having been able to afford anything so this was perfect.

I got this coffee container for $1.  I had been looking for something to hold coffee grounds and I love the old, vintage look of this.

This is my second jar and I got it for $1.  I am absolutely obsessed with jars lately, I have no idea why and I still don't know exactly what I'll use this for but I love it.  It had an ugly popcorn sticker on it but I just soaked it in some soap and water and it came right off.

I got two of these bowls which are actually originally front Pier One but I got them at the thrift store for $1.50 each.  Perfect for pasta!

These two yellow plates were $1 each and I got two of them.  I am still in search of more plates, I don't have many so these were perfect.

I got this bowl for $1 as well and I think i'll use it for rings or other jewelry instead of food because it's so small.

This bowl was $1 as well. A little smaller than the pasta bowls but good for snacks or ice cream.

Stay tuned for more thrift finds soon!

Thrift Store Finds

Yesterday my mom and I went thrifting at Goodwill and a local antique and thrift store.  I bought a few things for my house and I found all this stuff for around $10!

I bought this mug, there were a ton of them there so probably nothing too special but I plan on using it to hold pens or pencils. I like the eclectic look of using different cups and mugs for office supplies.

I was hoping to get a few tea cups to hold jewelry and knick knacks but I only found one that I liked.  Hopefully text time they have more!

I got this box for $3! I walked buy it about six time before I noticed it. Not quite sure what I'm going to do with it yet but I'm sure I'll figure something out.

Probably my best find were these three mixing bowls, $5 for all three! There are 1, 1 1/2, and 2 1/2 quart bowls so I'm sure there is a 2 quart floating around there in the world somewhere but oh well.  I am going to use these as small mixing bowls while baking, I needed some and these are perfect!
