High Five for Friday!

1.  On the way back to my parent's house for spring break I stopped by my mom's work and we went out for sushi for lunch!  Any day with sushi is considered a good day.  Plus they gave us flowers on our plates so that was pretty cool.

2.  I dyed my hair red guys!  I have been wanting to go red for the longest time but I could never find the right red or something I was happy with.  So Saturday I went to my friend Stephanie who is in beauty school and she did it for me, and I LOVE it.  I could see myself keeping this color for a while.  I just want to look like a mermaid, that's the the dream right?

3.  After spending the day at Ikea and lunch at South Coast Plaza we finally got Sprinkles Cupcakes in New Port.  It's an obsession.  The Sprinkles in New Port also opened a Sprinkles ice cream a couple of days again, I'm gonna have to go back and try that soon.

4.  Went on a TJ Maxx shopping trip this week and go these Steve Madden nude flats for $29.99! I'm a Maxxinista!

5.  My sister Molly and I went out to lunch together this week.  This picture was taken before we ate and went back to the car to find out that she had locked her keys in the car. Our wonderful father came to bring the extra key and open the car for us so we didn't have to wait around for AAA.  Thanks dad!

How has your week been?  For those of your that celebrate, what did you do for Easter?

High Five for Friday!

Happy Friday blog world!  That means it's time to link up for H54F!

1.  In & Out lunch date with Arpi.  Grilled cheese and animal style fries, so bad yet so good.

2.  Sunday was my childhood friend Alissa's bridal shower.  Still can't believe she's getting married.  Where did all the years go? How am I old enough to have friends getting married? It's pretty surreal but I couldn't be happier for her and her fiance Jeff!

3.  Of course deciding to get back into blogging this week was a huge highlight! As a huge highlight is my new blog design that I spent all weekend working on.  Still might make a few changes but for now I'm happy with it.  And I'm thrilled to be writing again!

4.  Almost finished reading "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me: And Other Concerns" by Mindy Kaling.  I definitely recommend it.  An excellent book and laugh out loud funny.  I've been sitting in the school library between classes the past week laughing to myself as I read it like a creep.  Also, if you're looking for a new show to watch I would recommend her show "The Mindy Project."  I'm in love with it; she is definitely one of the best and funniest writers out there.  Comedy writing isn't just a man's world anymore!

5.  Lounging around with some Chips Ahoy, iced coffee from my Keurig and my new one dollar candle from Ikea.  Perfection.

High Five for Friday!

As you could probably tell from my last post my week has been a bit stressful so hopefully you all have had a better week then me, My week did however have a good start so let's concentrate on that for a second.

1.  I went to my parent's house last weekend which was great because I got to see my dogs!  That's a terrible thing about moving out, not seeing your pets.  Thank god I've got three dog's in my new house to keep me company but it's still nice to go home and cuddle with my own dogs.

2.  Another great part about going home was going to my favorite frozen yogurt place and getting a giant cup of yogurt.  Tart and strawberry yogurt with strawberries, nuts, and chocolate chips; nothing can beat it.

3.  I found my old map of Paris I got when I was in Europe in high school and hung it up in my new place.  Now I sleep below Paris.  Hopefully it'll help inspire me to return soon and to do my French homework.

4.  Finally used my brand new paints for design class.  Although  I've had a love hate relationship with my design class lately using my new paints was a love.

5.  Tuesday night this week my roomies and some of our friends went out for sushi.  I spent way too much money and ate way to much sushi but it was so worth it.  Best sushi I've had in a while and I'm already craving it again.

Another high of my week was when two of my best friends Samantha and Alissa came over last night to bake pumpkin muffins and watch scary movies.  Aren't autumn inspired activities the best?  Today has been the first day it's felt like fall here in San Diego so naturally I got close to none of my chores done and instead slept in and curled up with some tea and my laptop.  Well I take that back, I did sanitize and clean our kitchen which was a lot of work so I should give myself credit.

Tomorrow parents are coming down to SD to go to our football game and next week I'm heading to my parents to go to the UCLA game with them. Another amazing thing about fall, FOOTBALL!

High Five For Friday!

Happy Friday bloggers!  My busy August continues, moving day is tomorrow! I have been completely preoccupied with everything that I didn't even realize today was Friday, as soon as I remembered I figured I better take a break from packing to write my H54F post since I haven't linked up in a couple of weeks.
1.  After getting home from Washington I FINALLY got to see my BFF Miranda, I haven't seen her all summer so we drove down to her new house, not far from my new place in San Diego, and I spent the weekend with her.  We got frozen yogurt because for whatever reason I have been obsessed with frozen yogurt lately, I think it's the heat.  Then someone (me) thought it would be a good idea to watch "P.S. I Love You" and take a tequila shot every time she got a letter.  But hey, what the hell are nights with your best friends for if not for drinking and watching rom coms?

1.5.  Yes, I have added a 1.5 to this H54F.  After staying up drinking and eating pizza we woke up late and got some Chinese food and Starbucks for our ride back to my parent's house an hour away.  Unfortunately So Cal is having major weather issues lately so we drove through the storm of the century that day.  We literally saw trees on fire after being struck by lighting on the side of the road.  Thank god we had Starbucks.

2.  I had my transfer orientation at SDSU on Monday.  The concept is exciting but the day was far too long and extremely hot.  Upside? They served really good chicken salad wraps for lunch.  Transfers are the last to register for whatever reason so I didn't get my first choice classes by my shedule doesn't look too bad.  I'm taking French 1, (which I'm slightly dreading, someone please tell me French isn't that hard) Design 1, Art History from 1945-present, and an upper division Anthropology class.  Everything sounds pretty interesting, I'm just thrilled up done with my lower division minus the language.

3.  I found decorative pillows for cheap at Bed Bath and Beyond and Anna's Linens!  Score!  I have been looking for reasonably prices throw pillows everywhere and for whatever reason our world thinks its acceptable for someone to sell a pillow for $40.  Do people really spend that much on a small pillow? Seriously people?  Anyhow, I'm pretty excited about my finds.  I'm still in search of a smaller, oblong pillow to go in front and completely my bed but that can wait.

4.  My new phone background!  I'm kind of in love with it.  Anyone who knows me knows how obsessed I am with the little mermaid.

5.  Yesterday I got to see some of my girlfriends before I move.  We had coffee in the morning and because all my mugs are packed this is what I drank my coffee from.  Then we got lunch (I got frozen yogurt again) and we watched some Shark Week.

This last week here has been busy but I've loved it.  I especially owe a thanks to Miranda for helping me clean out and pack my entire closet, Lord knows that was an ordeal.  This time tomorrow I'll be all moved into my new house and in about a week a start school again.  So wish me luck and I start a new chapter and happy Friday!

High Five for Friday!

Happy Friday lovies!  I'm pretty excited to be linking up with Lauren for my first H54F!  Here are a few of my highlights of the week.

And my #5 is my dog Cash laying on the couch, using a pillow with his paw on the remote.  He's so spoiled.

Hope you all had an awesome week and here's to the weekend!
